Why do they come to London when it is not much different from places in the US. Do they come over just to hear the London accent.

Whenever i see someone mention they are visiting England on ere, it mostly tends to be London where things are incredibly expensive. Why not travel up north and see the English country side, do many Americans come to the Lake District / Peak District?

P.s. I dont mean to be ignorant. Ofc people don’t only visit London, but it just seems to be the most popular destination..
I remember as a kid going to snowdonia and i have very fond memories of there.

Personally from Manchester and i love to get away from the city to the countryside and mountainous areas, i go to the lake district atleast 3 times in a year usually and i love making my way to the top of the peaks.

Not really into historical stuff myself, which probably explains why i dont see the appeal of london. I prefer the beauty of the landscape and getting away from the buzz of the large cities.
P.s. please ignore the category my question is linked under, i dont know why its in the transgendered category. LOL must have hit wrong button HA
Matt, I’ve heard of tenessee, and i’d recognise the accent but other than that i dont know much :)
